We would like to WARN EVERYONE IN THE HUNTSVILLE AREA that there has been a BAIL BOND SCAM that has been happening for the past 3 years. A person will contact you from a private cell phone with no name listed and will tell you that one of your relatives is in jail.  They will tell you that they work for one of the local bail bond companies in the area.  They will ask you to pay them online with your credit card to bond that person out of jail.  They will offer to meet you offsite or at the jail rather than at an actual office.  Once you have paid them online, you will never hear from them again. 

DON'T BE SCAMMED.  ASK FOR THEIR NAME.  Then, LOOK UP THE BONDING COMPANY ONLINE AND CONTACT THE COMPANY DIRECTLY and ask if that agent works for them.  You can also verify that your relative is actually in jail at this location online: https://www.madisoncountysheriffal.org/roster.php

Bail Bond companies must have a physical office to be licensed to sign bonds in Huntsville- meet them at their office. 

If you have been scammed and have lost money to this bail bond scheme, you can  FILE A POLICE REPORT at the front desk of the Huntsville Police Department.  PLEASE BE AWARE!
